Humble beginnings...
In 2015, I embarked on a journey to learn how to make a hollow chambered wooden surfboard out of paulownia. The result is a fabulous board I named ‘Vanessa’. This experience set me on a path of discovery. I wanted to learn more.
I’ve travelled from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula to Sydney’s Northern Beaches to learn a variety of techniques from many legends of the industry. Over many years, I’ve learned how to shape and craft boards of various sizes and dimensions.
Over the past 7 years, I’ve created many shortboards, mid lengths, longboards and even Asymmetrical surfboard designs.
I’ve now made many custom surfboards for clients and friends and will continue to offer a unique surf craft product.
At The Manly Surfboard Company, we often create boards for the heavier surfer who might find it difficult to find the most suitable for their needs.
